The best time of year for your remodeling project
Warmer months are typically the popular times for remodeling, but choosing fall or winter may better benefit your wallet and your schedule. Able & Ready Construction discusses what to do and when, to get you started on your Prescott remodeling project.
Summer
Remodeling a fireplace or installing a wood stove or fire pit may be economically more feasible during this time of year. When it's hot outside, you're not thinking about retreating indoors to warm up by the fire - and neither is anyone else. That's why summer can be the prime time for scheduling your fireplace remodeling project.
Fall
Most people have their home’s interior and exterior painted during the late spring and summer, but painting your home might be a little less expensive in cooler weather. Your contractor will know which paints are adapted to cooler temperatures and when to use them.
Winter
Consider building or expanding your deck early in winter. With spring and summer right around the corner, and the weather starting to warm up, you won’t want to be waiting for your deck to be designed and built. A winter remodel will ensure your deck will be ready to enjoy as soon as the temperatures begin to rise.
Bathroom renovations are often done from July through September. But you may be better off if you don’t choose the busy season for your bathroom makeover. Whether you’re looking for a complete overhaul or simply installing new tile or flooring, pick the winter off-season for your bathroom remodeling needs.
Spring
If you’re thinking about new windows, consider that window replacements are often done in the summer. You can get ahead of the curve by having your windows repaired or replaced in early spring.
