Upgrade the bathroom lighting in your home
While lighting a bathroom is not usually on the list of priorities, why not give your bathroom a nice, relaxing atmosphere? Able & Ready Construction is ready to help you upgrade the bathroom lighting in your Prescott home.
Make the most or your bathroom space with creative lighting! Consider bathroom lighting in two categories:
- Overhead lighting. This will set the overall atmosphere of the bathroom.
- Task lighting. This will help you to create an environment that’s relaxing - kind of like a spa. Flexibility in adjusting lighting is the key. Always add dimmers to help create the atmosphere you desire.
Let’s start with the ceiling. Install mounted or recessed illumination overhead for your general lighting. Then light the vanity area for some accent task lighting. You will also want to light the shower and tub area. Strip lighting under wall-mounted cabinets can produce both essential lighting and art. Important aspects of appropriate bathroom lighting are:
- Moderation. You don’t need to install sixteen or twenty lights into the ceiling! You want to make sure the bathroom is bright enough, but you don’t want to draw undue attention to your ceiling. On the other hand, ample lighting is important.
- Avoid light that points directly down on your head. That kind of light is overbearing and unflattering. Rather, place your ceiling lighting over the walkway area. That way light comes from behind rather than directly in front of the vanity.
- Do not install fixtures on just one side of your mirror. This will cause uneven lighting and make grooming difficult. Think symmetrically.
